6th November 2024

Across our division, we are passionate about creating and supporting opportunities for our people to learn and develop.

Partnering with the University of Sunderland, we are delighted to announce that eight of our colleagues have achieved distinction on their end point assessment for their Team Leader Apprenticeship.

The Team Leader Apprenticeship, offered through MTC Training at the University of Sunderland, aims to empower first line managers in the workplace, giving them the skills needed to become effective leaders and manage their teams.

Please join us in congratulating Kelly Newsome, Micheal Douglas, Adam Morgan, Daniel Mitchell, Callum Clerk, Suryta Chawla, Damien Hazel and Mark Reedwho all successfully achieved distinctions.

Speaking on the apprenticeship, Suryta Chawla, Validation Analyst at Morrison Data Services,a part of M Group Services said: “ This apprenticeship makes you believe you are capable of more, that you can do this, and you know what you are capable of.

“It helps you understand what type of person you are and how you can communicate with others more effectively.

“It’s just been a fantastic rollercoaster ride. It’s got me in the mindset that I’m continuously learning. I’m not fixed, I’m constantly motivating, moving and learning- and I love it.”

Through this opportunity, Suryta and other members of the course, were able to complete their Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths.

Kate Hickey, Emerging Talent Manager at M Group Services, said: “Our commitment to develop talent is reflected in the Team Leadership apprenticeship programme.

“The apprenticeship has not only enabled our people to gain professional qualifications but has also equipped them with the practical skills and knowledge to excel as managers. We are proud that everyone who has completed the programme so far has gained a distinction grade, this is a credit to their hard work and the support received from the University of Sutherland.”
